Small item clearance at WalMart

If your Wal-Mart is like mine, small items get put on a clearance shelf with a slight reduction in price and sit there for a long time, then disappear. HQ in Arkansas sets price clearance limits. The store can sell it cheaper if the store manager has the money in his budget to do so. I have gotten good deals on several things as I will ask the department manager if we can "deal" on a certain item. I bought a couple of Brinks padlocks today that have set for a good 3 months simply by asking if we could negotiate on them .The locks were 19.00 originally. I got them for 10.00 I wanted to make some long shackle padlocks out of them. They looked like good candidates. Maybe this will help someone also get a good deal from the clearance section.
