Default Long arm alignment

I have a 98 XJ with a rough country 6.5" long arm , rear adjustable shackles and soon 1.75" coil spacers, the driver side leans and it seems to dart around ( thinking too much neg caster)
What is your caster specs?
Or all of your alignment specs?
I am thinking the more positive caster the better.
Plus this friggin lower driver side is driving me nuts. Its like 1.25" lower.ĦĦ

Hi Altonamud, you need to be looking at attachment points/frame issues re your 1.25" of lean. All things being equal, alignment is only a measurement of how your axle is tilted front to rear (caster) and how your wheels are pointed (camber and toe). None of which has anything to do with ride height. I run the RE 6.5 long arm setup and , other than making sure the axle was square, had no issues with the type of problems you are having. Have you checked to make sure spring saddles and springs are in good shape? Could also be something in the rear end...leaf springs don't flex as well as coils so a small difference in the rear may be "pushing" the front suspension.

Alignment specs. But I also have done some talking with a local 4WD shop that was run by an alignment guy. He set them up at 8°. But with taller lifts like mine, you cannot get away with that much without driveline vibes even with the high pinion. So stock specs are probably the best to stay with

My buddy thinks the track bar is causing the lean, but i can not see how, when i disconnect the sway bar it makes no difference.
I did cycle the suspension a bit ;-) maybe it needs more cycling. IDK

How's your axle sitting in relation to the body? With wheels pointed straight ahead try looking at where each front tire is in relation to it's fender. If it is a track bar issue the driver's side wheel should be much farther outside of the fender. Still, unless it is severe, I can't see why that would cause a lean. Did you try leaving the end of track bar disconnected? You can't drive it like that but if it is causing the lean that would release it and at least you would know. There are a lot of Aftermarket track bars available.

Side to side the front axle is a bit off to one side , i'd guess around 3/4" .
Could it be that the spring got damaged when testing/cycling the suspension?
I will phone rough country and ask them.

That is a function of track bar length. It happens every time you lift the front

I know what the track bar does , what boggles my mind is the difference of height from left to right
