    Default Bump steer

I recently made a basterd pack for my rear springs so I could get rid of the 1" lift. The new pack is a little stiffer. Driving down the road it almost feels like the rear end is causing bump steer in the back or its trying to follow the road. Is that possible? If so do I need to soften up the pack?

That shouldn't be too bad, but that will be stiffer than stock. The only way to soften that is to use the S10 leaf on the bottom in place of the XJ #4. But that will lower it.

It's not really the stiffness I have a problem with. It's when it feels like the rear end is trying to push me all over the road. I checked and made sure the axle is aligned and it's good.

Get your main leaf in backwards? It would be noticeable if you did. Is the pin in the spring pad properly?

Never took the mains out. I double checked the springs and pins and they are in correctly. I'm thinking I might just put them back to the way they were until I get my truck fixed and the Jeep isn't a dd anymore

Did you change any of the front geometry or lift height?

I'm wondering if it changed my caster angle on my front axle because the i gained 2" of lift over what I was before the basterd pack

Yes it will, but by how much? You might need to measure that. You can set a cell phone with a free leveler app on top of the upper ball joint and figure that out easily
