Default Steering Stabilizer

So maybe a dumb question....I have a 2" lift on my 98XJ. I'm buying a new Adjustable Track Bar. I also need a new Steering Stabilizer, I found out I needed an Adjustable Track Bar because of the lift. Do I need or is there such a thing as an Adjustable Steering Stabilizer?

No there is no adjustable steering stabilizer. With a 2 inch lift you probably don't need an adjustable track bar. But you could go ahead and put one in it.

chasing a wobble?

sounds like a waste of to me. maybe repair the bushings in your current track bar? look for ovals where there were once circles on both TB mounting points.

yea its got a wobble. Bushing look good. A mechanic friend of mine said that the Track needed to be replaced. So I got the TB in. I had to go from a 1/2 inch mounting bolt to a 3/8 which made me nervous. When do I had the Grease to the bushings? The bushing on the new TB is basically flat after I tightened everything.

Grease doesn't really go with bushings. were the mounting holes in good shape? lots of things can create a wobble. May or may not need a TB, you're just kinda throwing parts at it. "mechanic friend" know anything about lifted jeeps?

I guess whatever needed to be greased comes pre-greased. The mounting holes didnt seem bad at all. I did notice some movement in the Steering Linkage, is there supposed to be any play there? Hes pretty savvy with vehicles. He didn't say it needed to be, I just thought it was a good idea. With it being such a common problem with Jeeps.

Not supposed to have movement in any of the joints in the steering system. If you do, it needs to be fixed

So we were taking a look at my track bar. It looks like the upper mount was drilled out by the previous owner and didn't do a good job or maybe its the wear of the hole but, part of the play is coming from there. I can't seem to find an exact name or a replacement. I can find the lower mounting bracket but not the upper. any ideas?

If you can find someone with the skills, then the way to do the fix right is to remove the old mount and use some 2" square tubing with 3/16" wall and one side removed. Weld the nut on the back side. A 3/8" standard bolt fits the bushing better than metric
