Ok so I'm trying to do my alignment with the help of this site:
http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm
My toe is is quite a bit more than 1/6-1/8". I can't get my tie rod to spin to save my life. Any recommendations?

I've heard getting a pipe wrench and jumping on it works. Use pb blaster or equivalent and a hammer to try to break the threads loose. I couldn't get mine to budge either so I went to the junkyard and picked up a ZJ tie rod. It was and easy nice upgrade.

I was trying a pipe wrench. Maybe I'll use a cheater bar over the end and stand on it. I'm sure once it moves it shouldn't much of a problem. Its just getting the F'ing thing to turn.

The only thing I can think of, is to make sure you got the clamp bolts really loose, spray pb spray on the thread, then use a long pipe wrench with cheater bar.

This has been on my "to get" list for far too long. I think I'll get one this week.

The ZJ rod is solid and thicker where as the XJ rod is hollow and thinner,

You have to get the V8 ZJ tie rod. Also bear in mind that the drag link is the same as the XJ. But the tie rod is definitely stronger and a goo upgrade for not much money.

When ever I replace a tie rod end, I make sure and use plenty of the antiseize. Makes alignments and replacements in the future a hole lot easier.
