    Default Control Arms?

    im looking to get lower and maybe upper control arms for my 88 XJ, i have a 4"lift. my question is which is better for me, adjustable or non adjustable? i dont plan on going higher.

    Fixed would be fine. Adjustable would be better...

    For 4" of lift you only really have to change out the lower arms.. But yeah, if you got the extra money to spend.. especially if you plan on wheeling it.. I would def. go for some adj. arms

    I'll stick it out there, the uppers could remain fixed but if it was me, I would get with ironman andy and go adjustable lowers and uppers. You would bend everything else before those suckers bent. Fixed is fine but then you really have to be accurate on the measurements, with adjustables you can simply fine tune till it's just right. One other thing to beef up is the track bar, if you haven't already done that.

    Get the Adjustable ones. That way you can set your castor angle and have good steering geometry when you are done.

    I run Iron Man Adj. on my XJ, never had an issue, it was worth the money I spent. Any yeah with adjustable you have room to dial everything in just right.
