    Default Misfire

    will just post the question...

Hopeing this issue is a typical 1.
The new jeep has a miss when running at running temp. Most noticable when coasting, goes away usually when it accelerates..
Its intermitant and when it happens its like it isnt running on all cylinders.. Only owned it 3 weeks...

If the spark plugs, spark plug cables, distributor cap, and rotor haven't been replaced recently, I advise that you start there.

So is it missing at idle? If so pull one spark plug wire at at time until you pull one and it doesn't change. That is the cylinder that is affected. Check the wire and plug and go from there.

Mine is missing at idle but it comes and goes. Matt thinks it's a bad lifter.

It started doing it after the transmission shop over heated the engine during the test run.

You might try the spark plug wire trick to narrow it down.
