Well I think I might just weld the ring to the carrier for now, polish the couple teeth that are pitted and start saving!

Man I'm sorry Dana, that sucks! How do you think that happened? Did you use loctite on those bolts? When I was doing my locker install, I kept reading conflicting things on whether to use it or not.

Nevermind, I looked at the pic again and see that they just sheared in half! That's crazy!

Awesome build thread. I really liked all the attention you put into the little things that make it unique.

I wonder if they torqued the bolts correctly. Never seen them back out like that

I built it myself Steve, I'm the one that torqued them!

Yup, and locktight. I have been wondering if the ratcheting from the Aussie caused them to back out??

I took my ring gear off to install my Lokka. I used the impact on medium setting to install. No problems in four years. I wonder if the lock tight had something to do with it. I have never used that with rear end bolts, nor have I known any builders to do it.

One of the local jeep club members drew this up for me, the plan is to make a couple t-shirts!

Very nice Dana. But won't he have to redraw for Rinzler?
