    Default tow points?

question for you guys. if i got some 3/4 in flat stock about 2.5 in wide. would i be good with 5 bolts on each side, then run a piece across the front. it would come through the factory bumper. then just drill a hole for the shackels. what do you guys think?

1/4" plates running down either side of your unibody, bolted, to include your steering box area.....3/8" accross the front, welded (correctly) to the side unibody plates.....3/4" straight out & through the bumper welded close to the unibody side plate connections.....gussetted....welded correctly.....you should be good.

The 3/4" all around is w a y over kill......just use that for your recovery points, all your other steel will be less dough as steel is sold by it's weight.

ok i'll do that if they have the steel. since its a hobby shop on base they go through the thinner stuff more, hence they charge more for it. its a weird system cause they dont pay steel prices. they get if for free but need to run off of what they make. since ive done stuff down there for almost 5 years they know me well and give super discounts. all the idiots that come in with ricers wanting thier exhaust welded odd ways pay for most of my stuff!
