My last trip to the grand stair case national monument I suck up to my rock panels in quick sand. I'm glad my FIL has a winch on his rig and that I bought a snatch block. We tried winch me out without the snatch block first... no go. But the snatch work. Thank you thank you a ranch came by during the ordeal and offer his ranch house a half mile away to spend the night. He really didn't think I'd be getting out without a tow truck.

I did this once Wayne. I had a big old 1 ton Dodge Power Wagon. NP 205 tcase and D70s front and rear powered by a big block and a PTO winch on the front. I peeled out some cable and wrapped it around this scrawny little 3" diameter walnut tree next to the house. I pulled and pulled and pulled and finally the chain slipped up the tree and came up and hit the windshield. Looked like someone used an automatic weapon on me
