what other springs replace the factory? i was wondering if ther is a direct replacement from any other auto mfg. thanks

There are alot of after market spring packs. As far as crossover packs I'm not sure.
You can fortify your sagging pack with a ground down spring from a Dakota or S-10.
1. 1990 XJ Laredo AW4-4.0L-NP231 D35/D30-OPEN cooling-3.5 full pack-etc.-etc.
#2. 1988 MJ Pioneer AW4-4.0L-NP231J-D30/D44 LSD - OPEN cooling - 3" lift - 31's

There are no direct bolt ins. You can add a leaf from a number of rear springs off old Chevy C &K series pickups, S10s Bronco IIs and Isuzu Rodeos just to name a few. But the XJ main leaf is unique.

I bought rear springs complete from Morris 4x4. They cost me around100 each with new poly bushings and u-bolts.
