    Default Lift Size

I'm wanting to see what everyone's lift size is, staying there, going bigger, and why you chose that size.

I started with a 3" and needed some more clearance for my front driveline after putting the 4.3 in. I ordered 6" coils from Skyjacker and when I installed them they ended up being 7.5" coils. They were too stiff so I got some RE 7.5" coils. And they seem stiff. I will give them a chance though. They have a good rep. I guess I have just kept the front a little to light.

2" right now, was on it when I got it.
Plan on 4.5 as money allows. Figure that and trimming will clear 33's nicely.

At 5.25 with short arms on 32s... hawg'd out fenders...
    SOMEday a 6" or 6.5" longarm 3 link on 33s.
Many run a bigger tires, but I want the flex... many will say they flex a bigger tire... and they do to a point, but very few run a bigger tire AND flex the piss out of it... most bump it... I just can't see doing all the work & paying all the money to bump it.
I like the LCG idea... just don't think it'll work for me...
I don't want anymore body by tire so 33s will be the biggest...

with my 6" and short arms it flexes like crazy. i have 36" tsl's. i can completely tuck one side up in the fender and drop the other side so much i unseat the springs about 2". granted i did do come clearance-ing on my front axle, have crossover, and custom track bar with heim.

If it's done properly, "bumping it" doesn't have any effect on you wheel travel. In fact, bumpstops are an important part of a properly tuned suspension -- they keep you from bottoming out your shocks and/or damaging other components. You can get just as much "flex" with 4.5" and 33s as you could with 6.5" and 33s, you'll just be a lot more stable doing it.

I running 5-5.5" of lift and use just about every bit of travel in my front shocks. The rear droop is limited by the leaf spring itself, and I've got it "bumped" to keep the leafs from inverting on compression. The tires in these pics are 35s. The pics are about 5 years old but the only things I've changed since then is removing the flares and going to bigger tires.

some more current photos with the 36s:

Ive got a Rubicon Express super flex 3.5" with Bilstein shocks. This is the kit with complete spring packs. Added 3/4" spacers in the front and shackles in the rear.

Run 32" Swampers. The front fender flares required generous trimming. The rears are OK.
