I actually ordered something for a Jeep......and it showed up at the house. I am hoping this will be the base solution to solve one of the issues with my WJ, and get the minor build moving once more. I have a damaged lower support, and need a starting point for a winch mount without the huge overhang of many of the WJ bumper ideas.

I'll post some pics of the DIY solution, but initial look in the box indicates clean, well-cut steel and clear directions.

Got the rear axle shifted back. now just trying to decide on tire size... this is a 35. Im still on stock axles and open diffs. Im thinking keep that setup and going 35's, or welding the rear 8.25 and going 33's. any thoughts?

I am not a fan of welded diffs. With those 35s on the street you will be risking a broken axle

Mostly trail rig. I actually picked up a used set of 33x12.5 bfg mud terrains for a smoking deal yesterday, so I guess I'm running 33's

it'll burn through tires on the back with any street driving so keep that in mind, if you haven't welded it already that is....

I agree. You save a few bucks up front and pay for it in tires later

I helped a good friend of mine get his Xj all ready for the Crawl for the Cure in 2 weeks. We put in new brakes, wheel cylinders, all brake lines, removed and replaced a broken bolt on the steering box, installed the header panel and customized it to work with the winch, and we also installed the winch plate and winch. Its getting there, and looks really good with the lift and 35s.

I also got some new straps for when I haul my Xj around. Northern Tool had them on sale for 10!

Waiting on my new coils to show up so I mocked up the steering and Trac Bar.... noticed that my angles are all out of wack. I could drop my tie rod to under the knuckle which would intern drop my drag link about 1.5 in. not sure that will be enough. any thoughts?

Yeah, this is the tough part of these conversions. Being up over the knuckle is cool, but plays hell with the track bar angle. If it was me, I would find someone to extend that track bar bracket down for you and then brace it to the other side. Otherwise you will have to go back under the knuckle

You could also relocate the trackbar to in front of the axle and not under it... This is what I had to do and this is the bracket I used
