Thanks. Took two days as I had to cut every bolt out due to breaking or rusted out. Tires just barely clear. We have fiberglass baja fenders to install next.

I tried some 35s on mine and couldn't get out of the driveway without tearing up the flares. Oh, well. Does look nice though

Things I did to my XJ over the weekend....
    1. Changed the o-rings on the oil filter adapter.
    2. Changed oil and filter.
    3. Installed new black lug nuts on all 4 wheels (old ones were chrome & looked like crap).
    4. Mounted my CB on the dash (have to make wire connections for power)
    5. Repaired stereo wire harness. (Previous owner had it all jacked up.

Last weekend drove it 1500 miles roundtrip up to Missouri and back for a wedding. The two of us slept in the back of the XJ one of those nights for the first time and it was pretty darn comfortable.

She's running pretty good right now, averaged 18-21mpg going 70mph+ most of the way. It's a good thing too, we have a 1800 mile trip to Colorado coming up in a few weeks.

I'm not going to say that's impossible, but due to these being ceramic, I'm going to say it's highly unlikely... unless there is, in fact, a kiln inside my tires. Though in the Florida summer heat on this hot pavement, it's probably not far off

    In other news,

My alternator took a crap . So I upgraded to the 136 amp alternator and upgraded my wiring, provided by a fellow member over on CF. Also ditched the K&N intake in favor of the factory airbox - doing a cowl snorkel soon.

My bad, I didn't notice where you said they were ceramic. Yeah I wouldn't think that they would fuse or even mesh together.

and you can't just go back to the 2nd half of the shift with a good attitude after that either.

Swapped brake pads and front shocks from one XJ to the another. It's nice having a parts Jeep with a number of fairly new parts, but you basically end up doing the repair twice. The DD rides and stops a lot better now.
