Not my Jeep, but my wife's Jeep... she was rear-ended this morning on her way to work. She's shaken up but so far no injuries have presented themselves. I am impressed with how fast my Jeep got me to the scene though... didn't know I could squeal that many tires. I got her up to school where her 4th grade class was waiting for her and I'm back at home trying to get her Jeep into a shop. This is my worst fear... I almost lost my dad to a wreck back in '97. Funny too... Jake, Bear and I were talking about wrecks just last night in the XJTALK SHOW chat room.

Yeah, the Acura definitely got the short straw... score one for Jeep Patriot!

A few years back we got rear-ended in the same Jeep coming home from Ft. Worth on Thanksgiving.... this Jeep doesn't like holidays I suppose.

Today I was schooled by my 6 year old daughter.
While looking at my headlights to figure out why they are not as bright as they once were, my little girl says" daddy they just need to be cleaned". Dismissing this I checked the ground circuit, the power etc etc. nothing there. However peering inside the reflectors I could see dirt build up! Took them off, pressure washed em and what do you know, bright lights again!

Also found a burnt connector on the left side. Click image for larger version.

Replaced that with a high temp connector.

So I guess I owe her one :-)

That is just eerie, bud. Definitely came out on top though. I've always had this habit to watch whoever is coming up behind me. (No jokes, fellas. )

Hope she continues to feel good, i'll be sure to pray for as much. Keep us posted on how she's feeling. Those events are always a dreadful occurrence.

Well today I got new tires for the Jeep. Course I spoiled the Christmas suprise. My wonderful wife bought them for me and they got delivered on the one day I would be home this week. Oh well I am still super happy and was super surprised. They are 33" pro-comp mud terrains.
