Few days ago thermal fuse in resistor pack blown and blower running on High only. Then on High, it blows 25A fuse frequently, after 2-3 minutes. Thermal fuse replaced with similar one and blower replaced also. After that, longest spring shaped resistor was melt and I got blower running High only. Ordered resistor pack, blower speed selector from Rockauto.com. r. Today checked all connectors, they were normal without any corrosion etc and replaced resistor pack and speed selector. Checked blower speed at 4 positions, after few minutes I got blower running High only and fuse blowing starts.

Decided to wire blower directly to battery through relay and fuse with actuating switch inside a cab. Winter is already here, so blower high only is okay for me

PS: temperature will be controlled by blower on-off and window up-down

I never really have liked the design for out blower speed selector. They burn out eventually. I hear ya, winter is here and heat is needed

Rewired blower motor through relay powered directly from battery, with switch in dash. So high speed only and blows like jet engine Noisy too, time to increase normal stereo volume

Pulled the door panels off of the Driver's side doors. Having sticky locks, that needed a healthy dose of lithium spray lube and thought my driver door would have a bad rod clip but instead had a busted handle spring. The saran wrap was still on the doors indicating that these doors haven't been opened since the Jeep rolled out of the factory 23 years ago.

Going to try to do the passenger side today

Cleaned up and reorganized the cargo area on the Jeep. Modded the lid on the military footlocker type box in the back to be able to strap things down on it.

Checked the transfer case because I've noticed a small leak from the output shaft seal. It was almost a quart low order a new seal and slip yoke bushing to get it fixed back up.

Started on putting 3" schedule 80 PVC air storage tank in the space between the inner panel and outside sheet metal. Should give me about 3 gal air tank and get rid of the 2 gal taking up cargo space

R/Red the header, drivers side motor mount and transmission mount. Passenger side mount is coming up so just waiting on a part.

Wound up having an exhaust leak right after restarting. Snugged up the lower center manifold bolts and it went away.

Replaced the leaf spring shackles and changed the rear diff fluid with 85w140 and put a lubelocker on. Old shackles had blown out bushings and it's easier to just replace he shackles than press new bushings into the old ones.

Also replaced the CCV elbows and grommets in the valve cover. One of the previous owners used the wrong front elbow and used two of the small orifice elbows which is incorrect. .

Pulled my front driveshaft to try to track down a vibration. Found the slip yoke had a little play so currently shopping for a new one. This did clear up a good bit of highway speed vibes removing it but not all of it

While inspecting my tcase leak which I think I've tracked down to the speedo sensor, I found the rear driveshaft slip yoke with play as well. I pulled the rear drive shaft and checked the output shaft for play and found none so I ordered up a new Dana/Spicer slip yoke for the rear drive shaft.

Did the 136 amp zj alternator upgrade. Had an intermittent drop in voltage and threw a code 41. Checked connections and saw nothing so I got a reman unit and found out to fit the 136 amp you have to grind down the timing cover and block. But hey, weight reduction bro! Pumping out 14.1 now!

I like big alternators. I always thought factory units were undersized, especially for 4X4s
