    Not messin around anymore....
I put on the rubber, and I'm going in!

Butt seriously, I got elbow deep into the Jeep and replaced the 250 thousand mile old and tired oil pump. (went with the standard pressure Melling)

Also decided to stop screwing around and got a MOPAR Oil Pressure Sending Unit.

    UNFORTUNATELY.....
The oil pressure on the dash still reads 5 to 7 psi.
(I'm bout ready to drive this thing off a cliff)
HOWEVER.... the trusty mechanical gauge reads a nice steady pressure thats a little more impressive than that measely 5psi I'm showing in the dash.

Looks like i'm going to have to go all mad scientist on this thing and swap the brain.
5" lift, 33's. Armored, Lighted, Chipped, & Locked up Front. Soon to come: winch, gears, axle shafts, and more...

LOL!!!! "Butt seriously" - good stuff.

Perhaps your gauge is bad? I'm not sure how the OBDII instrument panels work, but I know on the 96 & down, each gauge is individually replaceable.

Awwwww.... our little buddy is growing up

As for me.... well, yesterday, I hooked it up to my parts Jeep and drug it out of the overgrown hole it was sitting in. Needed room to access it from all sides to continue cutting it up. I've got about a week to cut the rest of it up to fit in my trailer before the county slaps me with a fine

Today, I loaded it up with a bunch of tools and headed to work. A co-worker's Jeep was dead in the parking lot. Wouldn't start. No-crank... not even a "click" to the starter. I wish I could have stuck around to help him work on it, but I had to start my shift. He came in and told me it's something between the clutch safety switch and the starter relay. Hotwired the relay and the Jeep started right up. Feel bad for him though. Been a rough week for him. Wife just left him, now he's got Jeep problems. Trying to help him out wherever I can.
