Over the last couple weeks I was noticing the blower fan making more noise. It also only operates on high and has since I bought it. That is on the list of fixing. Anyhow, the other day when I started the jeep, the fan made a clunk clunk noise then quit all together. I assumed it blew a fuse when what ever got caught in it.

After much cursing, I finally was able to get the fan motor out. This is what I found.

I also found where they probably got in. I'm guessing while deer hunting.

Last night I patched up some of the wiring on the Jeep. Namely the oil pressure sensor wire that had some missing insulation which was grounding out causing the oil pressure gauge to go haywire. Cut out the bad section and spliced it back together. Same for the O2 sensor wires. On the Jeep side of the harness I had some bare wires from heat and oil soaking the wires for so long :/, maybe the cause of my poor fuel mileage? Who knows but we'll see if it helps at all.

I took apart the connector which still had a good seal and cleaned up the wires and applied some electrical tape and heat shrink for now, I can no longer find this specific connector so I'm going to see if I can find any of the female pins that go into connector itself and cut out the bad sections of wire and rewire with new pins. If I can't do that I'm going to rewire with a another connector of somesort.

Also dropped the driveshaft out of the rear....again, and installed a new slip yoke onto it. The old one had a bad spot where the seal would normally ride and a 60 dollar slip yoke was a lot cheaper than a 230 dollar driveshaft.

Done installing the RE coil springs that I got from 4wheelonline. I went with 3.5" lift.

About to list up my 01 MR-S for sale for my XJ!! LOL.. Does that count??!!! Nah, but seriously, I don't need the car anymore as I have the WRX which is both fun and family friendly... so figure if I can get the MR-S sold, I'll take some of the money from that to get the front axle fixed... and hope that it won't be too expensive... that way I have some money left over to get the rear hatch glass fixed, and get the factory hatch back on the XJ... And hopefully still have some money to put into the WRX for fun stuff too..

couple days ago, drained and refilled trans fluid. 3 quarts came out, took almost 4 to get it full. will drive it around a little and see how it looks. can't be a whole lot in cooler lines and cooler, but I want it all out.
also pulled the interior panel off the rear hatch and reconnected the gate release latch-a-majig. also installed a paracord release for the inside. so I'm never stuck on the trail trying to access tools or whatever with the gate release thing not working.

also did some figuring on getting these 44s installed. can't believe all the work I'm about to do to run slightly bigger tires. guess that's why we call it an addiction

    HNY fellas

Contemplated selling it again... Do I want to sell it, NO... but hate seeing it just sitting there... even more so knowing in my head all the issues that I need to work to get it her.. some of which I could do myself just fine... if I had somewhere to work on it... so instead the repairs will cost me more, as I have to pay a shop to do them.. damn HOA terrorists!!! So can't wait to buy her a "new" house!!!

Changed the power steering fluid again. Going to keep doing the resiviour until I get clean fluid in the system.

And replaced the drivers side door check the old OEM unit was unsalvagable. Gottareplced the passenger side too but wanted to see what I thought of this CROWN replacement first.

At least one back door will need one in the near future.

Also reorganized the cargo box in my cargo area.

Went to replace all of the cooling system hoses today. Accidently cut the longer of the two heater hoses for the short spot like an idiot so now i wait for a hose to come into NAPA.

Also found this gem of engineering holding the lower radiator hose to the water pump. Ill grab a new one when i pick up my new heater hose from NAPA

Last Friday, I finally finished fixing the heater in my XJ. I did it outside in the driveway. It was +6 degrees and snowing, but I was able to install the new blower motor and resister. Now I have heat and variable fan speeds. Just in time too, it's been blow zero until this morning. It's now +3. We had 4-5 inches of snow Friday and another 4-5 in expected for tomorrow.

started working on my front 44. I knew rust was pretty bad, but got a stubborn castle nut and cotter pin, looks I'll have to break out the cutting wheel on it. Fun stuff! Need to order bearings, ball joints, locker, 3 link parts. hope my wallet and wife are ready!! LOL!
