Found the idler pulley squeaking when cold.* Also has some.wobble to it.* Ordered a new one

Was getting a gas smell and found a very small leak at the fuel pressure regulator. pulled it out and the original 25 year old orings finally gave up the ghost.* Im guessing our recent spat of cold weather finally did them in. Found an oring in my parts pile to replace the outer o ring which stopped the leak but didnt have the inner oring so my fuel system wont hold pressure when the engine is off. Ordered a new Delphi branded unit*

Changed oil 300 miles early cause i had the time.* Rotella T4 10w30 and a mopar filter.*

    On the Jeep

Put a new spherical bearing and spring in the front drive shaft.

Put a new PL259 connector on my radio's coax

Installed caster adjustment shims on the lower control arms in an attempt to track down my front driveline vibes

worked on my 44's a bit and finally made some progress.
added a screw to my CB ant mount. it was flopping around and losing ground, not moving now.
check batt voltage. 10 and change... guess I 'll start chasing a power draw. or drive the jeep more. leaning toward option 2.

Bled brake fluid after brake booster install. Not convinced I got all the air out. But good to get this old fluid out.

    Trust me, donít drink it!

I bled the wifeís brakes, put it a coke bottle cause thatís all I had available and thought nothing more about it. Couple days later working in the garage was super thirsty, saw the coke bottle, spun the top off and started power chugging. Spent the day in the hospital making sure I did not die... fun times!!!

    Label that bottle!

Shock isolators/bushings/polyurethane spacers were shot. Think I put them on too tight.
Refreshed paint while they were off

Did another round of trans fluid.
Couldnt get drain plug to seal. Hope I didn't damage threads. Also noticed PO cut down a grade 10.2 bolt to use as the plug. Will find the right plug and see if it seals

New drain plug w O ring. Seals up like a dream. Fluid back in.

Had a leaky lower rad hose last weekend. Now the rad is leaking on pass side from top of rad? Ran it for a bit and seemed like it stopped leaking. Cleaned and filled rad reservoir last wknd. Got new lower hose delivered and will probably replace for good measure, but the wandering coolant leak continues. Popped the cap off, seemed like it had some pressure. Only ran for 2 to 3 minutes but seemed like it was hot in a couple places. New water pump about a year ago. Not sure what's up.

Worked on oil filter adapter with my special T55 on a nut tool. But to no avail. Anybody got an idea on removing filter adapter?

Yesterday, I took my XJ to my buddy's shop so he could help fix up a few things. He is an old body man so it was easier for him to take my doors apart, clean, lube and adjust all my door latches. They work like new now. I also replaced the rear wiper motor, arm and blade. I works to wash but not on wipe. I'll have to look into that later. At least it works, kind of. I had to replace the heater motor resistor again. That's twice in a year.

You might check the wiring where it goes from the hatch to the body. that is a frequent place of breakage
