Smart Dog!!!!!!!!

A man and his wife owned a small farm. One day a stray dog showed up, and wanted to stay. Well the man and woman already had a lot of animals and critters there so the man put the dog into the back of his truck and drove down an old country road left the dog there. when he returned to the farm he was shocked to see the dog sitting there on his front porch with his wife. The wife said he has already been here for 10 minutes. The man scratched his head and put the dog back into the truck,and this time the man drove out into the country for at least 5 mi. And returned back to his farm and again there sat the dog on the front porch. Without saying a word the man shook his head and put the dog into the truck, and this time he drove and drove for what seemed like an hour into the country. Only this time on his way back to the farm he called his wife from his cell phone and said ; Hello Baby it's me! Is the dog there? and she said yes he is... The Man said well put him on the phone I'm lost!.........

Most of the people today can't circumnavigate the block they live on without a map or a GPS. That dog is smarter than all of them rolled together.

Yes, GPS has spoiled people. But I still prefer a map and compass in the woods. So much more information available that way.

Topo maps and a compass was the way I was taught in the Scouts and have used that until handheld GPS came along. I agree much more info on a topo map.

Yes, people who use a GPS generally have no idea where they are going or where they have been.

It makes you up to date old school. I haven't taken the plunge to GPS yet. That is one toy I don't have. Unfortunately the one I want is real expensive. Puts up topog maps and tracks your route.
