    Default Chromoly axle shafts, opinions?

Thinking about putting chromoly axle shafts in the Dana 30, probably when the ARB is installed.

    Good idea or bad?

Any recommendations for chromemoly axle shafts? RC had a set for under 600. Standard spline count, already have the ARB so I won't be going to 30 spline.

It is never a bad idea to go with stronger shafts with the ARB. Selectable lockers put a lot of strain on the shafts

I don't really know. However, if you are going to spend 600 you might want to check out RCV axles. Best warranty in the business I think. Also has a benefit of not having that steering wheel lurch when you have the steering wheel cranked due to a CV joint

Unless you're going up in tire size, not needed. I've beat the snot out of my locked 30 on 33s and never had a problem.

definitely not gonna give you a problem at the mall

I agree with Denver. I have chrome molly shafts in my axles but i'm rolling 37's. The only axle failure has been a busted u joint. I have said this before the 30 and 35 get a bad rap IMO you wheel smart you will not have a problem.

I run 33-inch tires with 3:55's and stock shafts. Have no problems so far.
