    Default Headliner Replacement?

Anyone find OEM-like replacement headliner backer-boards?

Is yours broke/missing? Salvage yard would be best bet. Replacement is simple once removed installing without damaging redone headliner is most difficult part.

I know Team Cherokee used to have a few for sale... but don't see it on their site any more... Other than that, I'd say hitting up a PNP would be your best bet... then you could find a 97+ that is a fiberglass board instead of the cardboard versions in the older XJ's.. I'm currently trying to track down one with the built in sound bar for my XJ... as the factory 97 I have is separate sound bar, and is the old cardboard style.. but still in need of recovering either way... I'd say once you snag one from the JY, see if it looks like it has been recently recovered.. and if not, I'd recover it prior to installing it..

IIRC, my 85 had a fiberglass board in it too. From what I can see so far, so does my 86

Yeah, just went a checked mine from my 97... it appears it's fiberglass as well.. Maybe it's just a better version or better setup... I know talking to folks that have recovered them... the newer version cleans up much better and is easier to install the new liner material..
