    Default WJ Transfer Case Skids - What has anyone used?

    I keep taking the WJ out and wheeling it in stock trim while I budget for lift, tires, and front recovery solutions.

    So far I am cautious, and dry weather in the region is helping, but the lack of lift and no transfer case skid is worrisome. I only have the brushguard on the fuel tank, and the local pull-a-part never has any WJ's with skids.

    Anybody used aftermarket skids on a WJ and have good or bad comments?

    Rusty's has one for 129
    230 hp 4.3L Chevy
    Built 4L60E with manual lockout
    Atlas 4 speed
    Griffin radiator
    On board air
    Warn 9.5ti on custom bumper
    7.5" RE front and bastard pack rear on custom long arms
    30 gal gas tank
    lockers
    And a bunch of other stuff

    Looks like Rusty's, IRO and Kevin's are the choices, unless I go OEM. Did not get a chance today to see if I can fab something myself, that attaches cleanly, and can get out of the way if I need to service the transfer case.
