    This is not a tranny problem. You have an engine problem instead. How long since you have changed your crank position sensor? That is probably a secondary cause of your tack jumping like that. The first thing I would look at is your cam position sensor in your distributor. Also, if you can get a multimeter, check resistance on your coil. If you can find one I will post the test procedure for the coil.

    I don't have a distributor. The crank sensor was changed a couple weeks ago. Cam position sensor was changed about a year ago. Maybe I need to re-index the cam position sensor? Also, would that cause the p1648 code? Showing "no bus" on my gauge cluster?

    No buss on the gauge cluster can be caused by a poor connection at the back of the cluster. The tach jumping around is caused by no spark from the plugs. That code is not on my list, however that code is used by Chrysler for control module signal problem. That is about all I can tell you on that code. If however your ECM is going bad, then that would explain a lot of it and the code
