Jeep Cherokee needs an engine
just rebuilt the engine
has new timing chain, water pump, crankshaft, rod & main bearings, gaskets, just redid the head, rebuilt oil pump, BUT the cam & bearings need replaced and I have just put too much into this vehicle. It currently has 15w40 in it and only has 8 pounds oil pressure at idle after it warms up, verified with mechanical gauge.
has a diy lift, front coils off of a 98 Grand Cherokee with a 5.9, 3" coil spacers, greasable axle tube seals, newer u joints.
Rear axle is a 8.25 with 2 stock leaf spring packs stacked into each leaf pack. One 1" block and a 2 degree shim on each side, and it doesn't chew up u-joints.
Has a NP242 tcase (has full time 4wd) recently rebuilt with new tail rear output bearing, good shift linkage.
Trimmed fenders, still has the fender liners installed.
New evaporator coil and heater core, all blower doors function perfectly.
New rear brake shoes.
Custom class 3 hitch.
Floors have been patched, just one spot with a hole still, carpet not installed (still have carpet), original back seat, front electric seats from a 90 Cherokee Laredo.
Center console not installed.
Power mirrors.
AC lines not installed, needs new condenser & lines that go to condenser.
New radiator.
My first vehicle, only 3rd owner, mom took great care of it as 2nd owner. Well taken care of, had to swap engine because one piston had a crack in it & I failed to mic the cam bearings of replacement engine.
Great reliable Jeep, brought me years of dependability. Lots of great parts, just needs an engine swap or a cam kit installed
The only reason I don't just park it & fix it later is I can't stand to see it sit. We're getting another vehicle but we can't insure 4 vehicles so this one had to go.
Going to miss it.
Make an offer.
Would love to trade for a Jeep truck (j10 or j20) or possibly full size Jeep parts ( Grand Wagoneer body)
