    Default TPS Calibration

I've changed my 1999 Cherokee 4.0 TPS. Is there suppose to be a calibration performed,or was that for earlier Cherokees? Thanks

That calibration was for the Renix era 4.0 only. Yours is plug and play

The torque app says I'm at 20% with key on engine off. It runs and responds fine and 100% is show with throttle as far as it goes. I had the tps go out this fall and previous one showed 20% resting. I snagged a whole throttle body for a 4.0 ZJ cause I knew I'd need a core for the big bore upgrade(and I forgot to bring the torx to get it out) I'm also running a 99.

It's only suggested that you reset the computer when you change a major sensor such as the TPS. There is no calibration from 91 up. As mentioned by others.

By reset the computer,Do you mean disconnect the positive battery terminal and grounding positive battery cable to vehicle frame for ten minutes or more?

    PCM reset sequence is:

Disconnect the POSITIVE battery Terminal and touch it to ground for 30 seconds. (This is to discharge the PCM capacitors, which maintain the Adaptive Memory.
    Reconnect the Battery Cable
Turn Ignition Switch to the “On” position but DO NOT start the engine
    Turn Headlight “On”
    Turn Headlights “Off”
    Turn Ignition Key “Off”
