Cool Trouble finding 2 row radiator

    Good Day,
I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee 2 door Sport, 4.0, 4wd, Auto Trans. 256K miles. Was running a 3row Modine radiator for years. Now leaking bad. I can not find a 2 row radiator anywhere. I can only find single row but I am worried it won't cool good in summer heat. Any suggestions. Also plastic verse metal side radiator tanks which is better? Thanks!

The metal tanks are better of course. They are making radiators differently nowadays. Check the tubes in the core. Now they make them flat and long instead of oval in the cross section, which can cool better than the oval tubes

I recently got 2 from Autozone . About 112.00 each. So far neither 01 has had any problem. It comes with lifetime warranty.

Talking Re: Trouble finding 2 row radiator

I put an aluminum Silla 2 row in my 97, 5 years ago. Don't remember from where I bought it or how much it cost. It will never get hot. As a matter of fact I have to put a piece of cardboard over the radiator grill when the outside temp gets below 30 degrees.

Another note. If you have a manual tranny and ever tow anything a single row will likely cause overheating. It did on mine. I was towing a 1,000 pound pop-up camper.
