    Default Answered in thread: link

I've noticed quite a few times today that if I click on the link @ the bottom of the chat box that says Answered in thread: doesn't seem to work, but if I go down to the thread and click on it, it works fine.. A few other folks have commented about the same thing.. Just thought I'd share to see if other staff has seen the same thing today, or if Tony might be able to see something that might be randomly causing this issue.. It gives an error that says server can't be found or whatever, has been doing that for the last two days on every thread that comes up..

James, I have contacted Tony on several issues that have popped up. He says he is aware of them, although maybe not this one specifically. He is experimenting with having a secure site and I think it is playing havoc with the links etc. He didn't say when it would be resolved, but I am sure he is working on it. I am guessing that all the problems with links have the same source

Yeah that is kind of what I was thinking it was probably associated with as well.. That is why I figured I'd share, so he'd be aware of the things to check on when he thinks he's got it all worked out

Very true.. I'm sure it has something to do with the secure connection, since it all seemed to start about that time.. Guess we shall see when this all works out..

Yeah, well here is another weird one. If I get email notifications, the links don't work there either.

Yeah, I've noticed some stuff for a bit. If i open up the window with xjtalk on it for the first time after getting on line it won't work, but i just open a new window and no problem. The pics problem. And it seems to be moving a bit slow, but that could be on my end.

I have been experiencing a problem with the forum for like 3 days now....would never load, pics aren't showing up (my avatar, etc), if I navigate away from a page that's working I can't get it back....etc etc

I've noticed that when I change the https to http it works fine but I have to do it with every link I click on....pics are still not showing but oh well

And I do agree with jimmy boy, it is getting annoying but its all good

The site is giving "mixed content". You should be able to set your browser to accept mixed content and not complain about it. That would be the short term work around.

I'm on IE 11 and I have disabled asking me about accepting mixed content and everything seems to be working fine.

Now this doesn't mean this is the fix, it's just a work around.

Remember "mixed content" is what you're looking for. Oh mixed content means a mix of secure (https) and insecure (http) coming from this site. I'm slowly but surely tracking down the culprits.

Also access the site via https:

Seems to be working a bit better today, or at least the Answered in thread: link @ the bottom of the chat box seems to be working fine today... I'll have to look for the mixed content option on my Mac, just to have it selected anyways.. Figure never hurts anyways.
