    Default The "wifes" XJ build

I purchased this 2000 flame red XJ from a coworker. I paid a low price of 1,500 and it had around 104k on the clock. The idea behind buying the XJ was two fold, one was to have a vehicle I could fit our 5 year old German Shepherd & our 8 year old son in comfortably. We drive over an hour each way every weekend in the summer to our place in NJ. And two was to have a second vehicle to wheel with... At the time I had an 04 Rubicon that I modified and built to run local trails and my wife was going to wheel the XJ. Here's a couple of pics before I did the lift install

And here it is after the Lift and tire install

And here is one after the roof rack install

I'm playing catch up with documenting everything I have done, but I have taken a bunch of pictures. I'll add more pictures and details as time allows, it's a good way to keep track of what I've done. This is a relatively minor build, compared to the Rubicon, which I have recently sold and that money will fund the XJ build. By the way, this is no longer going to be my wife's. I need to find her another one...

A list of things I have done, plan on doing or waiting to do...
    - Lift and tires
    - Winch
    - Roof rack (modify my current rack)
    - ZJ power seat upgrade
    - Rear Vault build & install
    - Front fender and hood replacement
    - Alarm and remoter starter install
    - Stereo, speakers, read dvd for the kid
    - radiator, thermostat and water pump
    - hub bearings
    - LED Light bar modification & install
    - CB install

I'll be editing this list and adding more as I remember.. That's it for now - Shawn
