    Default Coolant temp sensor

Last night on the way home from a spirited afternoon of shopping at meijer we stated loosing temps. got to 132 deg on guage and on my scanguage . Thought my thermo had stuck i had replaced it in nov with a stant 180, pulled it out and boiled it and its good. Last night it was 45 on way home and 23 overnight, today it was 41 so i pit it all back together and today it got to 150, question is could the coolant temp sensor be causing this? Snow starts at midnight and rain after that, my grass is gonna wash away

Yes, it very well could. It will also affect your gas milage too since it will tell the ECM you have a cold engine

Does it just randomly go bad or is the jeep just pissed over the headlight debacle?

Probably pissed at you. Better spank it and send it to its room in the trash.
