What did you do to your NON Jeep today?

Repainted the console on my Chrysler Crossfire with some PlastiDip to cover the spots where the factory coating had rubbed off.

Had to rescue my wife from a flat on her Patriot yesterday, so today I took it up to Discount Tire because there was a huge metal object in it and I knew it couldn't be repaired. It turned out to be a co2 cartridge.... wow. Also, I did an oil change on both her Patriot and my Civic. I don't remember who suggested it, maybe Firemanray or OrangeXJ, but I bought my 0w-20 from Walmart and saved over 10 on the 5qt jug. THANKS!!!

I been working on a Nissan hardbody pick up the last couple months.

Been doing a lot to it.
Replaced interior, wheels and tires, installing a used engine this next weekend, new clutch and flywheel, exhaust, after I get it running again I will start sanding it and repainting it.
I am rebuilding it for my oldest daughter it was gift from her grandpa to me and I give it 5o her. She will be driving soon be a great first truck.

quick update. Sold that F150 a day later for 2500. All told I had about 1200 in it.

We've been trying to revive my late grandmothers 98 malibu. We weren't using it, although did start it occasionally to help keep it from setting and thus degrading. Well, our time away from home took its toll and wouldn't ya know it, it won't crank now. We've tracked it down to the fuel pump is not working. Although the relay gets a signal. So, we've begun removing the tank and I have realized just how hard people that work on cars have it. I am spoiled with the clearance under lifted jeeps! My gut doesn't help! Anyways, we almost got it out today but stopped due to not having the fuel line tool. So not wanting to quit we figured it was a good time to siphon the old fuel out, which was past its age.

A bit of a scary moment when the hose popped off the hand pump to douse my brothers head in old gas as he was lying under the car to keep the hose in position. Thankfully his eyes hadn't had the same fate. He is alright now, with plenty of water to subdue the effects. If you don't know, old gas burns your skin fiercely.

So, once we get the fuel line tool we shall continue and then confirm the pump is in fact bad.

Thanks bro! He seems fine now. Just glad things didn't go worse, and easily could have.

Definitely hoping for that! It ran great before, and rightfully it should since its only got 36k miles!

You are right. Gas will burn you as well as fire, just takes longer. Glad he is OK

Went ahead and checked out the Malibu's rear brakes since we had it up on the jackstands. Glad we did, the passengers wheel cylinder had been leaking. It made a mess of the brake dust in there. Add it to the list...

We got the tank out finally, and tested the pump. Sure enough, it was dead. The new one is on the way. To save a bit we decided to go with just the pump instead of the whole assembly.





Whatever they coated this tank in is amazing. 16 years old and looks brand new inside.
