Help! No heater fan operation!

Yup the heater fan is not working and needless to say its very cold here in the northeast. This morning I replaced the fan relay and still no operation at any speeds. Could it be the control switch? I had intermittent operation before this and all of the sudden I have no heater fan.

98 Cherokee XJ 4.0L

The switches can get cooked along with the connector on it. A thing you might want to so is take a test light and see if you get power to the plug to the fan.

Thanks 4.3LXJ, I'll bring it up to my buddies garage tonight and test it. Got a big snow storm coming tonight so I got to get this fix.

Ok so I traced it down to the connection at the blower motor. The connector must have been melted so the previous owner(s) instead of fixing the issue used RTV to make the plug stay in-place. Over time this must have worked loose or shrunk because of the cold weather. To temporarily fix it so I can have heat I jammed a sliver of wood between the plug and housing, jiggled the wire while it was on and fan stays on now. I will permanently fix it later this spring.
