    Default Trac bar bushing

I have a iron rock adjustable trac bar on my jeep and the bushing on the frame mount moves a lot when I turn the wheel back and forth and I think this is causing my death wobble. Should I replace the bushing or can I upgrade to a hiem joint or something. And the bolts for the track bar are tight

Great place to start with curing that death wobble. If you contact IRO I am sure you can get a bushing. Heims wear out too so that is not the cure all. There are better versions out there. Try Iron Man Andy. He has really stout track bars and really tough bushings in them

Andy doesn't have a track bar for a rhd listed. The bushing in it doesn't even have 1500 miles on it. I like the track bar and the only thing wrong with it is the bushing

Oops, I forgot you drive on the wrong side of the road

You might give them one more chance with another bushing. Using a heim might be possible, but would take some adapting. Personally though I am not a fan of heim joints because they wear out too. Rough Country is famous for that on their track bars

What kind of material should I get? I believe the one that came with it is polyurethane

Get poly. Rubber is too soft

This is not what I wanted to hear about IRO's adj. track bar. Mine just arrived in the mail today. Are you sure its the bushing? I have read on a few XJ forums that the mounting hole can get worn out.

Its the bushing on mine but it could also be because I'm on 35" tires

The tires shouldn't make any difference. Amount of lift has more effect on that bushing than anything due to the angle of the trac bar and the forces on the bushing increasing as the angle increases. But it still should hold up
