    Default Castleton Gateway road

We decided to take another little excursion in the jeep earlier today. We went up to Castle Valley, then took the Castleton Gateway Road to Gateway Colorado. First stop was this nice view down into Fisher Valley, then a short hike to see the dinosaur footprints. After the nice drive to Gateway, we saw this cool Caddy Camper for sale. If anyone is interested you can see it there. Then a quick stop by Sewemup Mesa, where cattle rustlers would steal cattle then with a sharp knife cut out the brand, and sew them up with baling wire. And once they healed, rebrand them. Then down Co. 146 towards Naturita, we passed this charcoal oven. Then we stopped by the Delores River overlook, if you look closely you can spot 2 old cars that crashed years ago. And pics of the old flume. We then headed back to the barn.

Yes, I think it's cool too. It was over 10 miles long, and 7 miles were hanging on the shear rock walls, sometimes 100's of feet above the river. It was never profitable for them but it is nice for us tourists to see it now.
