    Default High CO @ DEQ!

So I changed the oil, plugs, rotor cap and head, installed a thermostat, air filter, fuel injectors...
Can't get the throttle body off yet ~ the 3rd screw is totally stripped and rusted in. I think I may need to drill and tap if I can't get it off tomorrow.

    It idles a little high. Like 1000 / 1100 some times. 500 / 600 other times.
Was around 1100 when I hit the DEQ

It failed at 3.2 CO measured in tail pipe. 1.0 is the limit.
I'm not sure if cleaning the TB will solve the prob. But plan on knocking it out anyway.

What should I be idling at?
In addition to TB, any ideas?

BTW ~ I get great mpg. If that helps narrow the potential causes.
... can a diagnostic computer plug into the old RENIX?

Help I can't get tags till it passes

I always use premium gas in the tank when smogging. It burns better and can reduce emissions. When was the last time the O2 sensor was changed?

I idle at about 600 rpm. I had a high idle (about 1200 rpm) and it was the TPS. It could also be a vacum leak.
Not sure on the high CO. I'm kinda dumb when it comes to emissions.

Considering the previous owner... it probly the original sensor.
Fingers crossed ~ cleaning the throttle body & associated will do the trick.

Then I'll look at the O2 sensor.
Fortunately, the test is free the papers for passing costs 20. So I can go back over and over for free till I figure it out. ...but I can't drive otherwise till it passes
