    Default 96 xj

    I was driving home today and my jeep just quit. No warning . what do u think it could possibly be ? I dont think its a fuel pump, becase it didnt act up right before it cut off

    Does it turn over, and just not start?? It almost sounds like a crank position sensor (CPS) to me..

    yes it does turn over. thats what was as leaning toward but just wondering what other people thought

    Well I very well could be wrong... but since that is what mine did when the CPS went out, I was just driving and it died on me... I am almost willing to be that is what it is causing your issue

    X2 on the CPS, mine did that as well.

    Check for spark at the coil and then check fuel pressure with a gauge, I bet its the cps too!

    This is such a wide question its best to start at the basics. Check for fuel pressure and spark. That will get ya started. We'll go from those results.

    I figured out the problem. I blew the main fuse. Not sure why or how
