    Default 6" daily driver

How do y'all feel about putting a 6" lift on a daily driver? Too big for riding around?

My Xj has 6.5" w/ 33's. Other than being a gas hog it does fine. It hasn't been a daily driver but I use it quiet often. In January it will be my son's dd. Done correctly you should be fine, just prepare to spend on gas!

Mine is at 8" and driven daily. But you will end up spending some bucks to make it behave well on the highway. 6" is probably the limit for stock steering. And you will have sway bar issues since the stocker is not made to accommodate that much travel. An SYE will be a must

Mine get driven daily by my wife. Its on 6.5" with no sye. On a recent hwy trip it averaged 18.4 mpg with 33's on stock 3.55 gears. Im sure its much lower in the city though.

I run 4.5 and 33s and it does well. Have a friend that runs 4.5 on 35s and his does well also just has it bumpstoped a little more than mine. I think that 4.5 should be the limit for short arms but thats all my opinion. Also above 4.5 the stock front steering starts to become obsolete.

I DD my 7" lifted XJ w/ 33's... Like said above it may not be the greatest on gas mileage... but really not that bad... Been DD mine for going on two years with the lift on it.
