    Default Favorite trails

I couldn't find anything about this anywhere else on the site, I think it would be a good thing for people to post their favorite trails, I haven't been on that many but a few of my favorites are the White Rim trail, and Elephant Hill, both in Canyonlands N.P. I just went on the Dome Plateau trail Sunday and really enjoyed it also. The wind caves on that trail were fun to check out. I forgot to bring my camera along though. I really would like to hear about some Jeep trails in Arizona, and Southern Nevada, and has anyone ever driven the Mojave road, in Southern California. I did about half of it 20 years ago, and would like to go back and do the entire trail if it's still open.

I haven't done any of the southern trails. I'm up north in CA. But my favorite area so far is Fordyce Creek. If you do some exploring you will find trails for everyone, from mild to insane. Good camping areas too and Motels not far away if you want to stay that way. We like the area because it is cooler in the hot summer. We have other areas here that are fun too, but Fordyce is the best I think

There are some good stuff in AZ....couple of nice "off highway" adventures near Flagstaff, and some nice runs around Sedona. Flagstaff has great views at the top of Elden Mountain (did that in a Patriot ), can be rough when wet.

Some of the Sedona runs near town can get crowded because of the Pink Jeep tours (), but Soldier Pass and Broken Arrow have some interesting spots Devil's Staircase is not as bad as made out, my wife did it in a rental JK on her 2nd ever wheeling trip. Diamond Back is a decent group run, with length to handle a group of vehicles. If you can survive the "smug" area of downtown, check with Barlow Jeep Rentals (they bought out a Farabee's), they know a lot of the non-Pink Jeep Trails.
