Brakes - Caliper Issue?

no abs....good peddle when not running...when running straight to floor...will stop me when slowly driving down the street but have to pump peddle up....

When pumped up, does it stop normally?

yes ,,,,,all i did was change a caliper and shoes......bad caliper do it..was a spare i had out in shed

Master cylinder is not so hot now. Just a suggestion, take it off and take it apart. Just a couple of bolts and a snap ring. Pull the guts out and clean up everything with brake cleaner. Reassemble and bench bleed. Might do the trick.

Wayne, just a suggestion. The Mighty Mite has a vent hose on the master cylinder to the air cleaner. Makes it completely waterproof. You would need one for each part. Might be handy for water sports.

coolies...think i found problem.....quote....

Turn the calipers over by swapping them from side to side so the bleed screw is above the brake line.

ive put the wrong caliper on........bleed screw is above the brake line ...but not on the one i swapped.....

um yeah..sweet as......my bad ..rush rush the other night...had a trip this weekend just gone........moral to story ...if it don't look quite right it aint....
