to go the cheaper route rather than buying an overpriced pair just go to the junkyard and you can buy a pair of the OEM isolaters and just stack another on to it, I stacked 6 at one time. they give you 3/4 of an inch lift per additional spacer and when I bought mine from the junkyard they charged me 10 for 4 of them.... your jeep already has one stock on there and you can stack them!

you can see one here from a wrangler which are the same as XJ ones, you MIGHT need to bring something to cut metal with you cause the bumpstops are usually seized up and you cannot remove the isolator without removing the bumpstop first
this pic shows what LOOKS like two pieces but in fact it is one single one

    these are all stacked

If you are starting out with stock shocks, yes. If you add some spacers with a kit, maybe. Shock length is determined by the extended length of the suspension with no weight on it. So you will need to measure from the top mount to the bottom mount and if longer than the shock from the top mounting point to the center of the eye on the bottom, then yes. You should allow an extra 1/2 - 1" so you won't pull the piston off the end of the shaft in the whoops.

I found that once you go to three inches you need to switch your shocks, but replacing the shocks is a good thing to do anyhow, I like to get mine from 4wheel parts and get the procomp es3000, they are the cheapest out there and they work JUST fine! I think i paid like 135 including tax for all 4 of mine
