    Default Shock placement question!

I have to replace my axle side mounts on my rear axle since I did an axle swap
I am curious what the drawbacks would be to moving the shock mounts just outside the pumpkin to make a V shape rather than outboard like OE style.
the BENEFIT I see is getting more droop out of them since the radius would require less travel on the shock and to my thinking the natural ride would not be affected... thats what Im curious about cause Ive never done this design!
please let me know if theres a drawback to this design!
    Thanks everyone!

Your shocks will be less effective for a bounce on one corner. If you take a suspension hit on one corner, the stock set up absorbs it more or less in the direction of the shock. With the opposite, there will be almost no dampening in that situation.
