alright i guess ill be that guy and ask why not use the 44 you have/had for cutting down? your using the tubes, knuckles and spider gears and i asume everything knuckle out to alow for quick trail...

lol thanks i could use a set in the spring along with a new LA crossmember.... i think you could reuse the basic idea and just weld the solid rod in the oem bump stop tower, the way it's designed and...

should make somthing to weld into the factory bumstop tower for ppl with swaped axles, welding that on aftermarket perches would be tricky if they are the kind that clamp the coil between two plates

x2 on need will be redoing the rear of my xj and will be looking forward to these.

fullsize(f-150) 8.8 iirc is stronger then a 44 iv got one in the rear of mine and is only an inch narrower then my fullwidth d44

im sure its not this simple but is your stabilizer shot, alowing acces floating in the steering being it isn't dampend? maybe you able to feel the cruves in the road causing it to float everywhere.

serach pirate in the cherokee forum, search screen name jenssen. look for the thread looking for rear leaf spring info, in that thread there is a chart that list all comon leaf spring packs to use...

is your crossmember going to be a drop crossmember at all or factory level? ill be upgading my la crossmember eventually and i'm looking for a flat cossmember like factory to gain my belly clearance...
