    I remember these. Really light and capable off road. However slow on the highway and will be even slower with a diesel

    Those are called "welding Ls". premade bends that are supposed to be welded on to pipe. That cage will not be as strong as it should and will probably fail if really stressed

    True, it is a Ford. But one thing you can do with them that is really cool since they are unibody is graft the back half from another on to it and have a functional 6X6. There were some prototypes...

    The quadratrac Jeeps had an offset D44 rear. Better check that out before you buy

    This one is kind of a bastard. Better check the spline count on the axle and don't forget it is slightly off set.

    If you are serious about that check Pirate. They come up on there once in awhile. Make sure they are left side drop and 23 spline input. Also check gear ratios. There are several available.
