It appears to be an add on type of bumper. But 3/16" steel is plenty heavy enough. You don't need to make a land anchor

I really don't have any real recommendations for brand, but I would shy away from any where the winch is hidden. If a cable gets pinched you need to get at it so you can get it loose to unspool.
