Re: Part for rear disk upgrade.

IIRC The front KJ studs don't work, The rear KJ studs I know for sure don't.

And If you have a choice I'd go KJ setup over the ZJ, The throwaway thickness on the KJ is the starting thickness for...

Re: Part for rear disk upgrade.

Wow, Your yard must give away brake parts! At $50+shipping it's not quite worth my time.

If I get another set $175 shipped, Machine work done, 8.25 ready. This would include: backing plated...

Re: Part for rear disk upgrade.

These have been opened up already, Enough that a D44 bearing will pass thru, Should just bolt onto a 8.25. I'm done with using them to re-drill a D44 to the new pattern So, If thesupercroc passes...

Re: Stock Dorman vs. Which Header ??

Just thinking here, But have you checked your motor mounts? If they are shot the flexing of the motor will crack any header.

Re: Part for rear disk upgrade.

At worst they are worth core value, They do still have the softlines and banjo bolts.
I do have a one extra set of ZJ calipers without backing plates if you are interested. I'll try to get some pics...

Re: Part for rear disk upgrade.

I have a extra set of mid 90's ZJ backing plates, calipers + a ZJ and KJ handbrake cables.

I'm using it to setup an axle I'm working on, so it will have the backing plate opened up for your 8.25...

Re: 1998 vs 1999 XJ Differences

I have a '98 and had a '99 at one point, Other than a few little things like the ski rack cross bars, there really is not any difference.

And the only difference that I noticed between the '98...

    Re: More to address

For this you need to take the gauge cluster out and clean the contacts. Extra points if you also put some dielectric grease on the contacts before reinstalling.

Re: Looking for guidance on upgrades

For the money JKU rubicon shocks (Red/Black) can not be beat for the price. Typically $75-150 is the asking price for a set.
