Yeah, that'd help...$1650.
I can send pics to anyone interested, but my phone & my laptop are not currently on speaking terms.

Selling my XJ. :( Red 97 Sport 4.0/auto, 208K miles, cold A/C (evap & heater cores replaced last year), about half tread on tires. Cloth seats, carpet, crank windows, stock Am/FM/cassette, full...
Weird...it was the fuel pump wire shorting to ground and popping the fuse. Strange.
Will a bad crank sensor make the gauges not work?
It cranks and cranks, but won't start. Don't see how a bad NSS would make the gauges act weird and the engine stall. The CEL did NOT come on at any point.
Weird...on the hiway, and it just stalled. All the gauges stayed where they were (showing 50mph & ~1700rpm), now show.nothing with the key on. Err...help?
Got an oil analysis back from Blackstone Labs on the Defy...I'm sold. Direct quote: "Some of the best wear numbers we have ever seen from a Jeep 4 litre."
I know it's a long shot...but worth a shot. Jeep is a 1997 XJ, need a 2" receiver that (unlike my current hitch) is not a mass of corrosion.
How, EXACTLY, did you mount it?
Up front, haven't decided which side (clutch or electric fan) yet. But...I don't think I want one that thick. :(
The 678, OTOH, is 11x9.5x3/4"...should be less restrictive. But it only claims a...
I know...but the biggest one at Summit claims a 5000lb rating. (I would expect that's a TRAILER weight rating.) The local CarQuest has one with a 25,000lb rating...but it looks inferior to the big...
I was hoping for a bigger one than that. :(
Well...I need one for towing. I would like a REALLY big one...anyone got a part number to suggest?
FYI: RockAuto currently has rebates on Monroe and Rancho shocks.
Woot! Scored a full FIPK (new, in the box, opened but never used) for $100!
Not needed: QS Defy 10W-30, $14 for a 5-quart jug at Wal-Mart. :D
It's no lower than the stock airbox...I do not do water crossings & do not live in a flood-prone area. (If there's any chance of a water crossing, I'll take my F350 or my wife's K-5 Blazer.) ...
Heard from several people they are worth power and mileage. (I'm inclined to believe it, the stock setup looks awful.) Anyone here running one...if so: how do you like it?
UPDATE! Quaker State has a new oil out, with extra ZDDP for older engines, called QS Defy.
Oh hell. Not surprised, but...oh, hell.
And I have a coolant leak. :(
Yesterday, when releasing the e-brake to go to work, the button and spring came completely out of the handle! (The expression on my face was probably priceless.) Is this common, and does this mean...
Here's an idea...probably need 2 people: Have one person filling it through the dipstick tube. Have the other handling the outflow.
Remove a cooler line, direct it into a large container. Start...
:( :bang:
Well, looks like I need to stock up on high-ZDDP oil. Only have one case of high zinc 15W-40 left.
OK, I have searched and didn't find an answer. So, I will ask here: I assumed, being a relatively modern (1991, revised in 1996) engine that the 4.0 HO has a roller camshaft. Err...does it? Mine...
I know, I had one.
Unfortunately, someone swiped it. :(
