6WD XJ club!!!
I've got the tools, I've got the skills and dammit I'm crazy enough to do it!!!!
So then a 44hp front, has reverse cut gears, and I can swing it around to the rear, run it in reverse and I'm done??? Well with major axle refurbishing!!!
so does the tj front 44 have reverse cut gears in it? or are they standard cut?
what i'm thinking is: if they are standard cut, then I can turn a front 44 housing around to use it on the rear,...
That helps! I need the offset from one side, and how much the drop or rise is on a low or high pinion
no biggie steve, im in no rush, i will get them at some point
saw that one too!!! i know a few people that have a front 44, ill just invite them over and crawl under thier jeep
Ive got a 44 in the rear of mort, just havent got under there to measure. Need more on the front 44
I found that too, just not enough dimensions, i am looking to locate the flanges and yolk so that it is an acurate 3d model, then i can calculate driveshaft length and pinion angle and so forth.
...
You the man Steve!
Right now I'm just looking at the overall dims, need to locate the pinion exactly. Basic stuff.
Yup, want to build them in 3d
Anyone have full sets of dimensions for d44's? Front and rear??
also is it possible to flip a rear low pinion and make it a high pinion??
