You should be good to go up to 4.5 inches of lift, then you'll need SYE and drive shaft.

Re: Locker or Winch?????
Lockers all the way. The only time I have used a winch is to help others without lockers. It will be like driving a whole new vehicle on the trails and give you a confidence booster at the same time.
