    Re: MIG Welding Techniques

Thanks for the links, those who posted them. Self-taught and supervised by certified welders, I feel comfortable with my stick skills. Need to get a mig, especially for any body work stuff.

    Re: Roll cage

Man, that kit in post #4 sounds like the way to go. You could probly get that installed in a weekend. You'll spend 3-4 times that in time making up your own. Sometimes it's just not worth it to make...

Re: Steering, track bar and D30

We used to use those spherical rod ends in VW dune buggies all the time, frequently getting 20-30 feet of air at 40+ mph and never have issues. definitely a way to remove that part from your mind

    Re: Humming D35

You'd have a slight clunk in it as you let up on the gas if it were those pins. Have to go with the reversed/mixed up shims as being your noisemaker.

Re: How hard to make it work

Looks like something to kill the approach angle. Might be nice on momma's mall crawler to get carts out of the way so she can park.

I'm looking for one, what trouble spots should I watch for? Rust, electrical gremlins, magical bad mileage number, etc. Thanks.
