Re: XJ rear disc brake conversion ??

My 98 has rear discs from a 2004 LJ. They bolted right on. Might be hard to find, though.

Trying to remember about the proportioning valve. I do know on my TJ, removed the spring. I believe I...

    Re: Definity Dakota m/t`s???

I had these on my TJ for awhile. They are hard tires, give a long tread life (+30K), but have mediocre traction both on and off road. My suggestion, save a little longer and buy a set of BF Goodrich...

Re: tractor tires for my xj

Super Swamper sells their LTB in 32x10.5x15. Poor tire for the street. Bad traction, noisy, less than 20k miles life. Hard to beat Super Swampers off-road, though.

Re: 72W Light Bar -- Aux. Reverse Light

FYI - I used this write up with the 3 way switch. I know it is overkill for the LED lights, but it is a good idea.

Thanks for the link. These lights are awesome. Good prices too. I think I will get some to replace my aux Halogen reverse lights.

    Excellent Jeep, excellent choice.

    Fort Hood

As some of you may know, off roading used to be allowed on Fort Hood (in Texas) using the tank trails when the areas were not being used for excersizes. That privelage was revoked several years ago....

31" tires and no cutting on 3" of lift. If you use stock Jeep rims (like Grizzlys) then 1.25" spacers will be required to keep the front tires out of the control arms.

    Re: Drum to disk?

My discs came from a 2004 LJ. They bolted right up. The only modification required was longer e-brake cables.

But finding the donor LJ might be a problem.

    Re: Aftermarket Fuse Blocks

I went to a U-Pull-It yard and got the aux fuse-box out of a mid 80s GM (I believe it was a Lumina). The box had three relays and three fuses in it. The toughest part was figuring out the mounting.
